Yvonne Norton (Bookkeeper)
Yvonne is a well-known, well-respected figure in the financial landscape of Thunder Bay and Northern Ontario. She comes with over 30 years of bookkeeping experience and knowledge and is fully versed in financial and administrative software pertaining specifically to property management and fund accounting. Yvonne's skill level and knowledge base have greatly served both Synergy and its clients.
Sara Wrigley (Administration Coordinator)
The newest member to join the Synergy team, Sara boasts a wealth of administrative, bookkeeping and customer service training and experience. Sara assist with tenant procurement and leasing, as well as managerial support. Her positive attitude and sharp attention to detail are a benefit to our clients.
Benoit Kuziora (Accountant)
Benoit graduated from Lakehead University in 2011 and is a registered CPA. He offers a wealth of experience and education in accounting and funds management. Having a background in corporate audits and fund accounting, Benoit's ability to keep an eye on both the day-to-day books as well as the bigger-picture finances are an asset to all of our clients.
Mary-Anne Zimmer (Administrative Support)
Mary-Anne Zimmer offers years of experience as an administrator and support staff and was formerly a business owner herself. She has completed courses and certification in office administration and has been with the Synergy team for nearly four years, learning much along the way. Mary-Anne’s expertise expands to leasing and document control.
Synergy Property Management Solutions was established in Thunder Bay in 2013, with its original office located at 215 Red River Rd. in downtown Port Arthur. Synergy’s early service delivery was provision of management services to single family dwellings and small plexes. In 2015, Synergy expanded its service scope to include larger buildings (apartment complexes, etc.) and began offering management services to condominium corporations and non-profit housing corporations. In March 2021, Synergy moved its offices to a larger space at 102-130 Brodie St. S. to accommodate our growing client and property base.
Kirstynn Taniwa (Property Manager)
Kirstynn (Kirdy, as she is known) comes from a university-level business background with a keen eye for detail and a love for all things administrative. Kirdy offers support with financials including payables and receivables; she is also support with respect to legal and Landlord Tenant Board issues. Kirdy is a valuable asset to the Synergy office and is undergoing the practical and educational components of licensure as a Condominium Manager.
Teri MacNeil (Owner, President, Property Manager)
Teri MacNeil is the original owner of Synergy. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Lakehead University and is also an accredited Property Manager (IHM). Teri has eight years of property management experience in Thunder Bay, as well as related work experience with large corporations and their holdings. A member of the Newsletter Committee for the local chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute, Teri also holds a General License for Condominium Management.
John Janssen (Owner, Sec./Treas.; Manager, Maintenance and Works)
John Janssen has over 30 years in the Maintenance and Repairs field. He has headed maintenance operations for large complexes with more than 200 units; he has shown his value in such areas as trouble-shooting costly building problems and consulting with and supervising contractors, displaying his vast knowledge of trades and industry know-how, as well as demonstrating efficiencies with smaller projects, such as implementing tenant recycling programs. John holds certification as a Gas and Oil Burner Technician, certification in CFC/HCFC/HFC - Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada, and Building Environment Systems Operator (II).
Sue Duncan (Manager, Condominium and Non-Profit Division)
Sue Duncan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota. Sue has lived in Thunder Bay for 35 years, and has been a prominent figure in the Property Management scene of this city for 33 years. Sue has performed a variety of duties within her role as a manager, including leasing, advertising, sales, finances and budgets, capital planning and coordination of maintenance, and project management. Sue also holds a Director's position on the local chapter of the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI) and is the Chair of the CCI Newsletter. Prior to her career as a property manager, Sue held her licenses as both an insurance agent and mutual funds broker. Sue currently holds a license as a Condominium Manager.
